What is Recidivism in Regards to the those accused of Sexually Offended Crimes?

Recidivism drops to virtually zero after age 60. It’s time to look at moving away from lifetime sentences and registries as a blanket approach to sexual offending. Individual risk assessments offer a better way to balance safety with reintegration.

Dr. Freiden has worked in the field of Sexually Offending Behavior since 1996 when Tennessee created the Tennessee Sex Offender Treatment Board.

He is currently the evaluator and treatment provider for Shelby County Department of Corrections, Tennessee Department of Corrections, The Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the United States Court Office of probation. He conducts Sex Offender Risk Evaluations, provide treatment and testify in state and federal court.

Dr. Freiden also provides expert witness testimony for defense attorneys in state and federal court. He has given either in court or written testimony as an expert witness in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, New York, New Jersey, and Tennessee.
